New videos, right in Slack.

When someone sends a video, CapSend posts it to the channel you pick with who sent it, which request it's for, and a thumbnail. One click opens it.

What gets posted

CapSend posts to your Slack channel when something needs your team’s attention, not for every click. Each post links straight to the video or request in CapSend.

  • A new video arrives With a thumbnail and any quality warnings.
  • Everyone has sent a video
  • A video has quality warnings When the checks finish after the video arrived.
  • Post for every request, or pick the ones this integration covers.
  • Private requests are never posted, wherever they’d otherwise go.
  • Pause and resume without losing the setup, and send a test to check it.
  • Failed posts are retried, and the last error shows in Settings.

Set it up

It takes a Slack incoming webhook and about two minutes. You need to be an owner of your CapSend organization.

  1. 1

In Slack, create an app for your workspace and turn on Incoming Webhooks.

  2. 2

Add a webhook to the channel you want, then copy its URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/.

  3. 3

In CapSend, open Settings → Integrations, choose Slack, paste the URL, and click Connect.

  4. 4

A “CapSend is connected” message shows up in the channel. Use Send test to check it again later.

Want posts in more than one channel? Add another webhook for each one, and pick which requests each channel covers.
